Found today an interesting art-journal challenge, and wanted to give a try by making a spread in my altered book.

I have always admired quilts, but never dreamed of making my own. When I found out about improv quilting two years ago I knew I had found a new obsession (new books, new patterns, new IG accounts to follow). I’ve even drove 60 miles to see The Improvisational Quilts of Susana Allen Hunter.
The exhibition ends in December, I need to make travel plans.
An identity for the V&A’s summer show was designed by Hingston Studio
This exhibition is presented by members of the CLTextile Group – a community of fiber and textile creatives living in Charlotte, NC.
Exhibition runs April 2nd – May 30th
Small works created by the CLTextile group will be for sale during the opening reception where proceeds benefit ARTS+.
Heimat Berlin has developed the Voice of the Wall typeface based on letterforms graffitied on the Berlin Wall. It marks the 30th anniversary of the Wall’s fall back in November 1989. Read more here
